An archive of the primary sources in Commonwealth v. Lindsay Clancy, assembled so that the record of the case is available in one place, in its original form, without a narrator standing between it and you.
This case generated an enormous volume of secondary content. Much of it is careless with dates, with the distinction between what a witness said and what a commentator concluded, and with the difference between the two competing psychiatric accounts. The record itself is a better source than any of it.
The trial video is the Associated Press stream. Several outlets streamed the trial and their uploads carry nearly identical titles, so each video linked here was verified against YouTube's oEmbed metadata to confirm the Associated Press is the actual uploader, rather than relying on the title.
Where AP has no recording, such as the pretrial hearings and jury selection, video from other outlets is used and identified by outlet.
The day-by-day summaries are drawn from contemporaneous trial coverage and are deliberately factual and brief: who testified and about what. They are meant to help you find the part of the record you want.
Outlets did not agree on how to number the trial days. ABC News ran one day ahead of the Associated Press and Court TV for the whole trial. Court did not sit on July 28 or August 14, which is where some of the confusion originates. This archive is organized by calendar date.
If something here is wrong, such as a misattributed video, a wrong date, a mischaracterized day of testimony, please say so and it will be fixed.
This site takes no position on the verdict or on the questions the jury was asked to decide.
